1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StatusVault — including the iOS app and the website at www.statusvault.org ("the App") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. The App is published by KKB Tech.
2. Description of Service
StatusVault is a personal immigration document tracking application that helps you monitor expiry dates for visas, passports, work authorization documents, and other immigration-related materials. Features include document expiry tracking and reminders, immigration checklist management, travel history logging, family member document tracking, and optional encrypted cloud backup for Premium subscribers.
3. Not Legal Advice
StatusVault is an informational tool only. Nothing in the App constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship. Always consult a licensed immigration attorney, your DSO, or the relevant government agency. StatusVault is not affiliated with USCIS, the US Department of State, DHS, or any government agency.
4. Using the App
StatusVault works fully as a guest — no account, sign-in, or registration is required, and your data stays on your device. If optional account or cloud-sync features are offered in a future version, you will be responsible for keeping any credentials secure and may not share your account or use another person's account without permission.
5. Free Use & Premium Subscription
StatusVault is free to use and lets you track up to 6 documents at no cost, with no account required and no time limit. To track more than 6 documents — and to unlock PDF export and encrypted iCloud backup — you can subscribe to Premium, billed at $4.99 per year through Apple's in-app purchase system.
- The subscription auto-renews annually unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Documents you have already added always remain on your device and stay visible in the App. Only adding documents beyond the free limit, and the Premium-only features above, require a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard refund policy.
6. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference. Documents are stored locally on your device by default; Premium cloud backup is AES-256 encrypted on your device before upload; we do not sell or share your personal data.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or compromise the App's security or encryption;
- Store knowingly false or fraudulent immigration documents in the App;
- Share or resell your account credentials;
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the App.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KKB Tech and StatusVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App — including loss of immigration status, visa overstays, employment authorization lapses, or denial of immigration benefits.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App for users who violate these Terms or engage in abusive behaviour. Upon termination of your account, we will delete your cloud-stored data within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the State of Texas, USA.
